"It's ok to lose yourself for a little while. In books, in music, in art. Let yourself get lost."
This week has been all about getting lost: lost in Central Park, lost in books I've been meaning to read, lost in sweaty dance parties on a random weekday night. I've been taking the time to explore every inch of the city.
New York is typically an open book. You can find the "city's best coffee," and the speakeasy scene is not exactly what you'd call a well-kept secret. But sometimes New York has a way of fooling you. Hidden subway stations, rooftop gardens and even picturesque tudor-style homes that you would think doubled as a movie set, all situated throughout Manhattan.
I'm learning to lose myself in the special little moments, whether it be discovering something new, or really digging deep into the old.
