Hiya!

Welcome to City Brewed. We’re all about celebrating the life that happens over coffee: morning rituals, fresh-brewed inspiration, and taking a peek inside cafes near and far.

How International Model Anja Leuenberger Starts Her Day

How International Model Anja Leuenberger Starts Her Day

You may have heard of Anja Leuenberger, an international model who counts runway walks of Dolce & Gabbana, The Row, Cushnie et Ochs, and so many others on her resume. But more than an undeniable beauty (with an impeccable strut to boot) Anja is sharing an inspiring story, one that starts with the grim side of the fashion industry – lose weight, watch what you eat, and don’t be surprised to work 12 hour days – and questioning what she’s grown up to know. Taking diet and nutrition into her own hands, Anja launched a website to inspire people all over the world to change their eating habits, sharing delicious vegan recipes and information to educate and activate – a woman after our own hearts.

Read on to get a glimpse into Anja’s morning, then maybe try her quinoa mango salad for a fresh lunch? We’re officially hungry.

6:45AM I wake up, start boiling water, and have a quick shower.

7AM Prepare coffee with my lovely coffee maker from Concrete Love in SoHo (similar here). I am an environmentalist so I boycott any coffee machine that uses coffee pods :) especially Nestle.

7:10AM I do my stretches for my back and meditate for a few minutes, basically just focusing on my breathing more so.

7:30AM Getting dressed, rinse off the face, moisturize with e.l.f daily moisturizer, and leave.

7:50AM Getting an almond milk cappuccino from Le Pain with my to-go cup from Morning Wood

8:30AM Arrive at my shoot for Tom Ford.

11AM Ready to shoot but I will need one more espresso shot before that :)

Follow Anja on Instagram for some vegan eats, product recommendations, and a glimpse into her frequent travels (can we come?).
