I wish I could say that I wear pumps to the beach on the regular, but that would be a big fat ankle breaking lie. This outfit was the product of a twice delayed and finally cancelled flight that landed me right back on the beachy shores, hoping to strategically match the water to my aqua-blueish blazer and shoes that are an exact match to my current manicure.
There's something about the boyfriend jeans and pointy toed pumps that I've missed during my regular clothing hiatus. Sure, wearing a bathing suit for days on end pretending to get tan while really just using a bronzing suntan lotion is great, but there's something about getting back to real life and the renewed inspiration that comes with a relaxing week free of worries. Today begins my last summer session at Baruch with a little bit of chemistry in my life (literally the science). My current plan of action is to geek out in the front row with my lab coat on, although I'm not sure that would be a great look for me.
