I can honestly say that until about a week ago, the Upper East Side and all of its Starbucks locations was less than thrilling. That is until I decided to venture a few streets down from my apartment to Oslo Coffee Roasters, i.e. the first neighborhood coffee shop I've come across on the UES (can you imagine how thrilled I was?!) I spent a good half hour in the little shop sipping a latte, talking to some locals, and reading over the NYT's real estate page. Needless to say, this is my new hangout. Oh, and they've also got some great tunes.
